On January 22, 2024, DiGiT @ WOU orchestrated a successful Academic Industry Symposium in Penang, extending invitations to a diverse group of academicians and industry professionals from China, along with representatives from both multinational corporations (MNCs) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) situated at Penang Silicon Valley. The symposium featured Mr. Khooi Chu Boon, Director of SME & Community Development at Digital Penang, who shared valuable insights into the Penang Digital Transformation Master Plan. Dr. Tan Hwang Ee, Chairman of the Association of Graduates from Universities and Colleges of China, delivered a captivating talk on "Young Malaysians in China: Cross-Cultural Exchange in the Digital Era."
